Canine-Assisted Therapy - currently unavailable
A long history of relationships between dogs and people, shows that their presence and the animal-human bond can provide us with a sense of well-being.
Dogs have long been used for promoting physical health (with beneficial effects on heart function, blood pressure and stress). They can also help us communicate emotions that may be difficult to express to another human being. A number of doctors have studied the beneficial impact of dogs on our morale, sense of emotional security and anxiety level.
I offer canine-assisted therapy with my cocker spaniel 'Harper' to any client who feels it may help them in talking through their issues or difficulties. Harper is in the room with us and you may choose how much or how little you engage with him.
I trained at Wealden College and am fully insured. A Health & Safety Risk assessment safety check is covered at the outset of our work to ensure you feel safe.
