Counselling Supervision
As therapists or ‘healers’ it is important to take care of our own emotional selves. Often we may feel unable to see how to help a client find a more positive way; face dilemmas around systemic issues; be sub-consciously carrying the weight of others’ feelings; or simply not able to see a client from a different perspective.
Regular clinical supervision can help by providing a non-judgemental, supportive, confidential space where therapists can openly explore all the relationships in the therapeutic space. However much experience we have, I believe we all have ‘blind spots’ at times and having a trusting relationship to explore our work is part of our own continuous professional and personal development (CPD).
As a qualified supervisor with over 10 years’ experience, I offer 1:1 and group clinical supervision. My approach is predominantly person-centred, focussing on the process and relationship between therapist and client as well as the parallel process in supervision and what emerges for the supervisee. In small groups (no more than 3) an added opportunity to learn from each other’s different perspective and modality can enrich our work*.
For counsellors in training this, will also be a learning environment whilst developing your own style & approach as a qualified therapist.
Sessions via Zoom are available.
*Group fees to be agreed.
